CORRIDOR NOTES
Distances and drive times are planning estimates. Exact access, timing and delivery details are confirmed for each address before the move.
From Spokane to Yuba City the drive drops out of the Inland Northwest on US-395 and I-90, works south and west to the Columbia River, and follows I-84 down the Gorge past Hood River and The Dalles toward Portland. There it joins I-5 for the long southbound run through the Willamette Valley, over the Siskiyous at the California line, and down past Redding into the Sacramento Valley before the last leg east on Highway 20 into Yuba City. All told it's about 730 miles and 12 to 13 hours behind the wheel.
Murdock’s carries this move on our own DOT and CPUC authority with one crew and one truck the entire way. The team that pads and loads your home in Spokane is the same team that unloads it in Yuba City, so your belongings are never handed off to a linehaul partner or reloaded at a distribution terminal. We build the Gorge crosswinds and the Siskiyou grade into the timeline and lock in a flat rate up front, so the written quote reflects the access details shared before move day on delivery day.

DESTINATION BRIEF
Yuba City sits at the heart of the Yuba-Sutter region, real Sacramento Valley farm country where the Feather River runs past orchards of peaches, prunes, and walnuts and the Sutter Buttes rise out of the flatland just to the west. For someone relocating here, the draw is affordability and space: this is one of the more attainable corners of Northern California, with room for a family home and a yard well short of what the same money buys closer to the coast.
New arrivals typically settle into the established neighborhoods around downtown Yuba City, the newer subdivisions on the north and west sides, or across the Feather River in Marysville and the communities near Beale Air Force Base, which brings a steady stream of military families and civilian workers into the area. A move into Yuba-Sutter almost always means a single-family house, so our crews are usually delivering to driveways and garages in quiet residential tracts rather than fighting elevators and loading docks.
Life here runs at an unhurried, family-first pace built around the ag calendar, local schools, and easy access to the rivers and the Buttes for fishing, hunting, and hiking. Sacramento is only about 40 minutes south on Highway 99 when you want a bigger-city day, and the Sierra foothills and Tahoe are an easy drive east, so Yuba City gives transplants small-town affordability without cutting them off from the wider region.
