CORRIDOR NOTES
Distances and drive times are planning estimates. Exact access, timing and delivery details are confirmed for each address before the move.
Denver to Yuba City is a full cross-mountain, cross-desert run, and Murdock’s Moving carries it start to finish on our own CPUC and USDOT authority. Your shipment heads north out of Denver on I-25 through Fort Collins, crosses into Wyoming at Cheyenne, and takes I-80 west across the high plains and Great Basin — Laramie, Rock Springs, then Elko, Winnemucca and Reno. From Reno the truck climbs over Donner Summit through the Sierra Nevada, drops into the Sacramento Valley, and turns north on Highway 70 and 99 through Marysville into the Yuba-Sutter area.
We're an owner-operated carrier, not a broker, so the crew that packs and loads your home in Denver is the same crew that unloads it in Yuba City — one truck, no transfers, no warehouse holds. At roughly 1,235 miles the move usually takes three to four days, and you get a firm delivery window and a single flat-rate price before we load. Smaller destinations like Yuba City are exactly where brokered van lines drag their feet on scheduling; because we run our own equipment, we can commit to a date and keep it.

DESTINATION BRIEF
Yuba City sits at the heart of the Yuba-Sutter region, real Sacramento Valley farm country where rice fields, orchards and the Sutter Buttes — often called the world's smallest mountain range — define the landscape. It's an affordable, family-oriented place: a Denver household's housing budget stretches considerably further here, and the twin cities of Yuba City and Marysville straddle the Feather River just 40 minutes north of Sacramento, close enough for capital-city jobs but priced like the countryside.
Newcomers typically look at established neighborhoods in central Yuba City, newer subdivisions on the growing west and south sides, and across the river in Marysville, Linda and Olivehurst. Nearby Beale Air Force Base anchors a steady community of military families and civilian workers, and its presence gives the area a reliable rhythm of arrivals and departures our crews handle regularly. The move here often means trading a cramped Front Range lot for a bigger house and yard with orchards at the edge of town.
Life in Yuba-Sutter is quieter and outdoorsy — fishing and boating on the Feather River, hiking the Sutter Buttes, and the annual Punjabi and farm-country festivals that reflect the region's deep agricultural roots. Sacramento's amenities, the Sierra foothills and Lake Tahoe are all an easy drive when you want more.
