CORRIDOR NOTES
Distances and drive times are planning estimates. Exact access, timing and delivery details are confirmed for each address before the move.
From Fresno to Yuba City the drive runs almost due north up the valley floor. Our crew loads in Fresno, takes CA-99 through Madera, Merced, Modesto, Stockton and past Sacramento, then follows CA-99 and CA-70 north across the Feather River into the Yuba-Sutter area. It is about 195 miles and a little over three hours on open valley highway, so most Fresno-to-Yuba City moves are a same-day load-and-deliver, with next-day service when a larger home calls for it.
Murdock’s is an owner-operated carrier, not a broker, so the same truck and the same crew that wrap and load your home in Fresno carry it up CA-99 and set it down in Yuba City. We run the route on our own USDOT 3421940 and CPUC Cal-T authority, with no line-haul handoffs and no warehouse transfers in between. You get one flat-rate quote, one crew and one continuous inventory from your Fresno door to your new Yuba-Sutter home.

DESTINATION BRIEF
Yuba City and its twin, Marysville, sit at the heart of the Yuba-Sutter region, a stretch of the Sacramento Valley defined by orchards, rice fields and the Feather and Yuba rivers. For a family leaving Fresno, the appeal is straightforward: this is affordable, small-town ag country within an easy hour of downtown Sacramento, where a moving budget buys a bigger yard and a quieter street.
Newcomers tend to land in the established neighborhoods around Gray Avenue and Butte House Road, the newer family subdivisions in south and east Yuba City, or across the river in Marysville and the outlying communities of Sutter, Live Oak and Olivehurst. Nearby Beale Air Force Base brings a steady stream of military families through the area, so the Yuba-Sutter housing market is used to relocations and turns over readily. Most Fresno moves here drop into a single-family home with room to spread out, and our crew handles the straightforward valley streets and driveways with ease.
Life in Yuba City leans on the outdoors and the seasons: the Sutter Buttes (the smallest mountain range in the world) rising out of the valley floor, salmon fishing and rafting on the Feather River, the annual Sikh Parade that draws tens of thousands, and quick highway access to Sacramento for the jobs, airport and big-city errands.
