CORRIDOR NOTES
Distances and drive times are planning estimates. Exact access, timing and delivery details are confirmed for each address before the move.
The run from Phoenix to Yuba City is a long-distance move that Murdock’s Moving carries on our own USDOT authority, start to finish. We are a carrier with our own trucks and crews, not a broker handing your job to the lowest bidder. The people who wrap and load your household in Phoenix are the same people who unload it in Yuba City. Your belongings ride on one truck the whole way, with no dock transfer and no swapping onto a stranger's rig.
This route leaves the Phoenix area heading northwest on US-93 to I-40 West, crosses the high desert past Kingman and Barstow, then climbs CA-58 over the Tehachapi Pass to Bakersfield before running north up the CA-99 and I-5 corridor through the Central Valley to the Yuba-Sutter area, roughly 795 miles and 11 to 12 hours of driving. We plan it as a two to three day move so the crew arrives rested and works carefully at the far end. Every dollar is quoted flat-rate before we leave Arizona, so there are no hidden line items and no surprise charges when the truck arrives.

DESTINATION BRIEF
Yuba City sits at the heart of the Yuba-Sutter region, an agricultural stretch of the Sacramento Valley known for orchards, rice fields, and the Sutter Buttes rising out of the flatland just to the west. For someone leaving Phoenix, the draw here is affordability and space: home prices and rents run well below Sacramento and far below the coast, and you get a quieter, family-oriented community with room to spread out. It is farm country with a small-city core, not a big metro, and that is the point for a lot of the people we move here.
Yuba City proper offers established neighborhoods near downtown and newer subdivisions on the north and west sides, while across the Feather River, Marysville and the foothill communities of Linda and Olivehurst round out the area. Beale Air Force Base anchors a steady stream of military families moving in and out, and we handle plenty of those relocations along with civilians chasing lower costs. Many homes here sit on larger lots with real driveways and garages, which usually makes the carry straightforward, and our crew confirms access before move day either way.
Moving to Yuba-Sutter usually means trading Phoenix traffic for two-lane country roads, with Sacramento about an hour south when you want a bigger city and the Sierra foothills close to the east. It is an affordable, slower-paced landing spot in Northern California, and we take care of the eight-hundred-mile haul to get you there.
