CORRIDOR NOTES
Distances and drive times are planning estimates. Exact access, timing and delivery details are confirmed for each address before the move.
The move from Redding to Yuba City follows the spine of the Sacramento Valley. Your crew loads in Redding and heads south on I-5 through Red Bluff, Corning and Willows, then swings east on CA-20 near Williams to cross into the Yuba-Sutter area and Yuba City itself. It runs about 145 miles and two and a half to three hours behind the wheel, close enough that most households see their belongings loaded and delivered inside a tight one-to-two-day window rather than sitting in storage for a week.
Yuba City sits inside Murdock’s core service territory, so this is a route we own end to end on our own USDOT and CPUC authority rather than farming it out. One truck, one crew, both directions: the movers who pad-wrap your furniture in Redding are the ones who set it back down in Yuba City. Nothing gets cross-docked or handed to a van-line partner, which is what keeps an intra-valley move predictable on both timing and headcount.

DESTINATION BRIEF
Yuba City is the anchor of the Yuba-Sutter region, the twin-city farm country that spreads out beneath the Sutter Buttes, often billed as the smallest mountain range in the world. Where Redding is hemmed in by Shasta's peaks and reservoirs, Yuba City opens onto orchards, rice fields and the Feather River, and the pace here is unmistakably agricultural and family-oriented. For a lot of movers the draw is simple: your housing dollar stretches noticeably further here than in most of Northern California.
Across the river sits Marysville, the historic other half of the metro, and the surrounding communities each have their own character. Plumas Lake to the south is one of the fastest-growing family suburbs with newer subdivisions, while Sutter and Live Oak keep a small-town, close-to-the-orchards feel. Linda and Olivehurst offer some of the most affordable entry points in the region. Beale Air Force Base sits just east of town, so a good share of newcomers are military families and civilian contractors moving in for a posting.
A move into Yuba City often means more square footage and a real yard for the same budget that bought a smaller place in Redding. Our crew knows the rural driveways, the newer Plumas Lake tracts and the older streets of downtown Yuba City and Marysville, and we plan the delivery around the long farm-road approaches that show up on plenty of properties out here.
