Our crew heads south out of the Puget Sound past Tacoma, crosses the Columbia at Portland, and climbs through the Cascade foothills to the Siskiyou Summit at the Oregon-California line. From there I-5 drops into the Sacramento Valley through Redding, Red Bluff and Williams, then delivers straight into the capital.
